I.B.S Construction handles both structural and finishing carpentry: roof and framing work at one end, built-in cupboards, doors, decking and trim at the other. Everything is measured on site rather than assumed from a plan.

Do you build cupboards on site or in a workshop?
It depends on the job. Some units are better built and finished off site then installed, others are built in place to work around out-of-square walls. We recommend whichever gives the better fit.
Can you match new carpentry to existing woodwork?
In most cases yes. We will look at the existing profile and finish and match it as closely as the available materials allow, and be upfront if an exact match is not realistic.
Do you build and treat outdoor decking?
Yes. We build decking, pergolas and balustrades, and advise on the treatment and maintenance a Cape Town climate needs, particularly on exposed and coastal sites.
Do you do the painting and varnishing as well?
Yes, our own painting team handles sealing, varnishing and painting, so the carpentry gets finished properly rather than left bare.
