Frequently Asked Questions
How many coats will you apply?
It depends on the surface, the colour change and the product. We state the number of coats in the quote so you can compare quotes fairly rather than on price alone.
Do you do the preparation or just paint?
Preparation is included and it is the part that determines how long the finish lasts. Washing, scraping, filling, sealing and priming are quoted as part of the work.
Can you paint over damp or stained walls?
Not successfully until the cause is dealt with. We can treat and block stains, but if there is active damp we will identify it and recommend fixing that first, often waterproofing or plaster repair.
Do you help with colour choices?
Yes. We can put sample patches on the actual wall so you see the colour in your own light before committing, which often changes the decision.
