Prepared Properly
Levels and moisture are dealt with before the first tile goes down, which is where most floors fail.
Supply can be arranged, or we lay material you have already bought. Give your rooms a fresh, practical finish with carefully laid tiles or flooring. Our team handles the preparation and fitting, with attention to levels and edges.

What We Do
A tiled or laid floor is only as good as what is underneath it. Most of the failures we are called to fix, lifting tiles, hollow spots, cracked grout lines, come from a screed that was not level or not dry, not from the tile itself.
I.B.S Construction prepares the substrate properly, sets out the room so cuts fall where they are least visible, and lays to consistent joints and levels. We tile floors and walls, and install laminate, vinyl and other floor coverings for homes and business premises across Cape Town.

We will also tell you honestly when a floor needs lifting rather than tiling over. It is a longer job, but it is the one that does not come back.

Rooms are planned so cuts land discreetly and joints line through between spaces.

FAQs
Sometimes, if the existing floor is sound, well bonded and the extra height works with your doors. If it is drummy or lifting we will recommend lifting it, and explain why.
Either. Many clients choose and buy their own tiles and we lay them. We can also arrange supply if you prefer to keep it to one point of contact.
Yes. Wet areas are waterproofed as a separate step before tiling. This is the single most important detail in a bathroom and we do not skip it.
It depends on size and whether screeding is needed, since screed and adhesive both need curing time. We give you a realistic schedule with the quote.
